Be the Change You’d Love to See in the World
Wednesday
May 16, 2012
3 weeks ago, I chose to go for it! Consciousness was calling me to go to Europe and create greater possibilities!
And this morning as I write this, I'm on the ferry from Ireland to France.
As part of that calling I hosted a free teleclass called Turn On Your "Crazy One" Talents & Abilities to facilitate people to create a conscious business. You've probably seen Apple's video "Think Different" about famous change leaders like Einstein and Mahatma Gandhi. It's about the "crazy ones", those people who change things because they believe they can.
Do you believe you can change things? You can if you choose it!
Are you ready to play a far bigger game now that we're in the deep waters of 2012? Change is upon us in a big way. Either you resist your greatness and get swept under by the huge tidal wave of change that's coming. Or you swim forward faster and catch your wave that will carry you with ease and power into a whole new life of far greater contribution and bold exuberant expression and abundance of you!
If this sounds mystical and other worldly, it maybe. And it's not. As a friend of mine Dr. Dain Heer says, energy is the most pragmatic thing in the world. When you change the energy of a job or business or relationship, you can change what can show up. Where there were limited possibilities before, all of a sudden greater possibilities can show up!
What 'crazy one' talents and abilities are calling you to create something bold and innovative that truly makes this world more conscious and fun?

R.I.P. Steve Jobs
Steve Jobs made a phenomenal contribution to the whole world! Not just by providing us with elegant user friendly technology. He was a major inspiration to all the "crazies" and all that's crazy and brilliant in each of us. The torch has been passed. Are you ready to accept the challenge and demand that you be the 'insanely great' genius YOU truly are??
The Power of Intuition
Wednesday
Aug 18, 2010
Are you using the power of intution in your business?
How many times have you done all your research and come up with all your reasons for doing something and it still didn’t feel right? Did you go ahead anyway? How did that work out? Chances are that it didn’t always work out the way you decided it should.
And how about the times when you really didn’t have base your choice on concrete reason, but one particular choice just felt really right and you went for it. And it turned out great? You made the sale, partnered with the right person or
In his book The Power of Intuition, Gary Klein talks about how your brain runs “action scripts” to filter through cues and see developing patterns. He lists 26 different sources of information to consider to strengthen your inuition.
Yes there are cues or clues that prompt your knowing. But intuition is not a mechanistic cause and effect computer. As well as taking cues from past experiences and learned behavior, you have the faculty of reading energy. Especially interacting with people, there’s an energy, a vibration to people that everyone reads. And even situations have an energy to them. What I’m saying is, don’t make the mistake of thinking that intuition just goes on in another part of your brain. Intuition is much bigger than that.
Intuition is a creative power of the universe. You are not just a brain in a physical body. You have access to a whole universe of information and wisdom. All you have to do is ask. The most powerful way to prompt your intuition to work for you is to ask questions. Ask questions and wait for an answer to come to you. Don’t try to figure it out with your mind. Your mind is limited. Your awareness isn’t.
Intutiion is really awareness. The whole universe is aware. For instance, scientists have shown how plants respond to the thoughts of people observing them. So why limit the information that can inform your choices. When you ask a question and wait for the whole universe to provide answers, you open up infinite possibilities of making the best choice. And usually without a lot of time consuming research.
So ask a question and wait for an answer to come to you. It can come to you in so many sometimes strange ways. A song on the radio, a totally unrelated conversation or a dream like James Watson’s dream that revealed the molecular structure of DNA. Be willing to receive an answer in any way, shape or form.
And be willing to recognize the energy that matches what you’re looking for. Again ask. Asking a question may seem so simple, yet it’s a powerful way to access knowledge.
You can ask: “What would it take for me to quickly and easily recognize the best choice in this situation?”
Try it. Let me know if that opens up more power of intuition for you.
How to Use Your Creative Power to Grow Your Business
Friday
Jul 23, 2010
Your creative power is yours. It’s hard to stay passionate doggedly following someone else’s blueprint of to success. You have to be fed by what you do. Otherwise you’ll get burned out, angry and resentful.
Whatever blueprint someone else used to be successful, it won’t reflect your creative input. Use other people’s ideas and tools that work, sure. But if you really want to stay excited, passionate about what you’re doing, create as and for you. People will be attracted to what you’re offering. If it excites you, if other people have responded well to it, most likely you can make money with it.
Instead of looking through other people’s realities and buying the hidden limitations they function from, free yourself to see with the fresh eyes of a child. A creative, alive child having fun with what you’re doing. Without any limitations about what can show up.
What if you could be more successful creating from the full power and freedom of being you?
Your Creative Edge Grows Your Business
Wednesday
Jul 21, 2010
Living on your creative edge helps you grow your business and nourishes you as you move forward. How do you live on your creative edge? Get in touch every day with your vision.
It’s about being you. Not some image. Above is a picture of Oscar wining actress Marion Cotillard from a current Vogue interview. It’s a great article. But this photo makes her look like some fashionista movie starlet without real substance.
She couldn’t be further from that. She has the no stops full ahead courage to live on her creative edge and give everythging she’s got to everything she does. Here’s what other creative professionals say about her:
“All Marion’s channels are open.” ”Incredible, active emotional openness.”
What would it take for you to live on your creative edge like that? All the time? And what if it was a lot easier than you thought? It probably won’t be comfortable, but it doesn’t have to be hard and exhausting. Living on your creative edge helps you grow your business and nourishes you as you move forward. How do you stay on your creative edge? Again get in touch every day with your vision.
Keep growing it and being in the question. That’s how you stay alive and curious. You’ll make more money and have greater ease with challenges and opportunities.
What happens when you don’t? You lose that powerful sense of being alive, engaged and excited about what you’re doing. You start feeling like you don’t have enough enthusiasm and joy in your business to attract and keep customers. And your life starts to feel stale and repetitive. You stop feeling the full flow of juice that can fuel all your business ventures.
And if you do get exhausted, you’ll be able to gather your strength again and move forward stronger, more flexible and more potent than ever before. You can live your life that way. All you have to do is find what nourishes your energy, what expands you as you and what frees you from your limitaitons so more and more you can realize everything you wanted to be and do and contibute to the world.
So how do you continue to live on your creative edge? What do you have to do every day to sustain that aliveness and focus? You ask questions and demand the best from yourself. You bring yourself present and fully available to what you’re doing with your business every day.
As Steve Jobs says “Stay thirsty!”
Revitalize the American Dream by Empowering Your Entreprneurship
Monday
Jul 12, 2010
The cover article of July’s INC magazine talks about how to revitalize the American Dream by empowering entrepreneurs to start more businesses. There’s an incredible need right now to empower entrepreneurs to expand small businesses. 8 million Americans have lost their jobs. Small businesses provide as much as 90% of new jobs.
Entrepreneurs can not only provide new jobs, they can add new innovations to green business and high tech. What’s needed is the vision, courage and vitality to get started and follow through effectively. The more aware you are of your talents and abilities and what stops you, the more you can break through them and get the most out of your challenges and opportunities.
The key to that is your connection with yourself. Not just your personality, but more importantly the greatness that’s inside you. What makes you unique and what you can contribute to make this a better world. If you think only about taking care yourself, then you limit the power of making money doing what you love. Inevitably what you love to do expands you as it enriches people’s lives. Would being more aware of how you contribute to others empower your entrepreneurial potency and skills?
How to Let Go Failure and Open Up New Opportunities
Friday
Jul 2, 2010
Letting go of failure is the best way to empower yourself to create something new. After his business project in Crete is a complete disaster, the Englishman in Zorba the Greek learns from Zorba to laugh. To laugh and let go and dance. With laughter and dance you let go and let joy expand your life.
When you let go of your failures, you take more of your life back in that moment. You enjoy simply being alive. Letting go doesn’t mean you have to give up your power to keep on creating. When you’re freed from the heaviness of ‘defeat’ you can create something new and even better that succeeds.
Your Energy Makes or Breaks Your Success
Wednesday
Jun 30, 2010
Did you know that being joyful and expansive is a business increasing activity? Working with a client this afternoon I was reminded how critical your choices are to your success . What you choose makes or breaks your success. Not just big important choices, but the choices in attitude you make minute by minute.
You see your attitude is shaped by the energy with which you go through life. In every moment, you can choose to breath fully, expand your energy out and embrace the positive, the expansive, the fun and rewarding and let go of the negative, the contractive forces that keep your life and businesses tied up in knots.
What would it take for you to keep choosing to relax and expand rather than get react and resist the challenges that come your way?
How to Be Free to Choose Effectively
Monday
Jun 21, 2010
“Between stimulus and response, there is a space. In that space lies our freedom and power to choose our response. In our response lies our growth and freedom.” ~ Viktor E. Frankl – via Mari Smith, on Facebook.
Whatever is happening, you have the power to act effectively. Victor Frankel was a Jewish psychotherapist who spent four years in Nazi concentration camps. He not only survived, he provided therapy and helped prevent suicide among the other inmates. He knew first hand what it takes to keep your body and spirit alive under the worst conditions possible.
No matter what’s going on you can create more of that space inside you to respond with greater ease and freedom from emotional overwhelm. How do you do that?
1. Stop judging. Instead of reacting aggressively or checking out, look at what’s happening without judgment, without a need to be right. Or wrong.
2. Don’t take it personally. If you experience your life as “this is what’s happening this moment. That’s interesting.” Rather than “They’re wrong.” Or “I’m wrong!” Doesn’t mean you don’t stand up for yourself. Just don’t go into the drama of rightness and wrongness. Without the charge of being right or wrong, you can respond with greater ease.
3. Recognize that you essentially are that greater space and freedom. You are not overwhelm. You can choose to be the ease and joy you naturally are.
You’re not the fearful thought or the tightness in your chest. You’re the ease and freedom taking things in, knowing what you need to know and taking effective action. Choose it without knowing how it will show up and start seeing what does show up in your life.
I’d love to hear your response.
